In the Arctic, as in the rest of Canada, safety, security and defense are essential prerequisites for healthy
communities, strong economies, and a sustainable environment. Inadequacies with many factors of security such as human (housing, food and medical), environmental, social, cultural, and economic security are not well known outside the Canadian Arctic.
Canadian Arctic Security is an independent research page dedicated to providing informed publications on topics that affect the Canadian Arctic and the people who live within it.
Our goal is to keep all Canadians informed on matters of security – be it food, water, health, research, marine traffic, local or international government affairs and politics, or military activity, and beyond – that affect Canadian Arctic region.
We are self-funded, and donations, while not necessary, are greatly appreciated and go directly to supporting the continuity and growth of the work we produce.
